I ran into this site this morning (The Jesus Page) while looking for information on the Gospel of Matthew.  What I liked was that the writer starts out poking fun at many of the sacred cows that keep us from sacred connections--with one another, with scripture, with scholars and thinkers and teachers and friends.  I'm not sure that there is anything  more uncomfortable than being with friends or family and knowing that talking about our faith--the issues of our ultimate concern, is off limits.  So Just in time for the holidays, maybe here is a place to start thinking  anew about Jesus.  About where we can find some common ground.  About what's ultimate about our beliefs and what we can finally let go of and put in the white elephant bin of old worn out dogma.
